    Facebook Announces New Business Tools for Messenger: Facebook shared a range of new and upcoming improvements to its business tools for Messenger. These include new lead generation automation flows, an appointment booking tool, and an updated Standard Messaging response window.

    Facebook also announced that over the next several months, it will begin phasing out the Discover tab, which showcases relevant businesses and bots that users might be interested in.

    YouTube Removes In-App Messaging Option: YouTube is removing the ability to natively share videos and messages with other users after September 18. YouTube states it's “reevaluating [its] priorities and… [plans to] focus on improving public conversations” on the platform.

    YouTube Expands Super Chat to More Regions: Originally only available to YouTube streamers in 40 nations, YouTube is now expanding the Super Chat program to 19 more regions. There are now 60 countries where Super Chats are available to be purchased.

    YouTube Rolls Out Abbreviated Subscriber Counts: After announcing the upcoming change back in May 2019, YouTube is now gradually phasing out exact counts for public-facing subscriber numbers throughout this month. The change will take place across YouTube and the public YouTube Data API Service.
