Here are some interesting studies to note:

The Top 14 Social Media Metrics Tracked by Marketers
A recent study from McKinsey & Company and Duke University's Fuqua School of Business reveals 6 in 10 U.S. marketers track hits, visits and page views when evaluating the success of their social media campaigns. Other markers prefer web mentions, online reviews, consumer sentiment and brand affinity. This indicates a move away from evaluating social media's value solely in terms of profit or revenue per customer and looking at it as contributing to other goals such as branding, engagement and customer service.

40% of Facebook Accounts That Represent Fortune 100 Brands Are Unauthorized
On average, about 40% of Facebook accounts claiming to represent Fortune 100 brands are unauthorized, according to new research from security-as-a-service provider Proofpoint. Twenty percent of Twitter accounts claiming to represent Fortune 100 brands are unauthorized. The effect of these compromises are loss of money, attacked or their audiences attacked and damage to their brand and authorized social media accounts.

PlayBuzz Tops Publishers on Facebook in Shares for November
Technology company NewsWhip ranked the most-shared publishers on Facebook in November 2014. For the first time since NewsWhip began compiling its rankings in August 2013, neither the Huffington Post nor BuzzFeed occupied first place. Both publishers were outpaced by quiz site PlayBuzz. Although total shares are down for many publishers, PlayBuzz seemed to surge ahead with its stream of quizzes.

Here's a cool social media tool worth checking out:

Workflow: “Your personal automation tool, enabling you to drag and drop any combination of actions to create powerful workflows.”

    workflow app
“Workflow includes over 100 actions, including those for Contacts, Calendar, Maps, Music, Photos, Camera, Reminders, Safari, AirDrop, Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox, Evernote and iCloud Documents, to name a few.”
