    New Facebook Column Ads: This Week in Social Media

    New Facebook Column Ads Roll Out: “Designed to give advertisers a more engaging creative canvas, while also offering a better experience for people on Facebook, the new right-hand column ads” started to roll out this week.

    Facebook Launches New Versions of Facebook Pages Manager for Mobile: The new versions for iOS and Android are “designed to make it easier for people to manage their pages on the go.”

    “Pages Manager now features: Easier access to admin tools, quicker navigation to Page Activity and Insights [and] more direct access to an ‘action bar' that lets you quickly write a post, add a photo, edit your page and more.”

    Facebook Provides More Actionable Data on Stories From Apps: Now “only interactions that drive people to your app are reported in App Insights.”

    Facebook Improves Video Visibility: The “goal is to better understand what videos people are interested in watching, so that relevant videos appear more prominently in news feed.”

    Pinterest Introduces New Notifications for Android Users: Pinterest will now “notify you when you're near a place you've pinned.”

    Here are a few cool social media tools worth checking out:

    Buffer's New Daily App: This new app “offers an endless amount of amazing stories, each just a swipe away.”

    Buffer will “share your picks with your followers on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn through Buffer and keep refreshing your content opportunities.”

    Talk: Path messaging has expanded into its own app, so “it's easier for you to use.”

    Some of the great features will “make it easier for you to communicate with your friends, family, classmates and co-workers.”

    BeamIt: “Private messaging meets stunning photo sharing.”

    “Photo Drawers let you swipe and view hundreds of photos without visually interrupting the flow of the conversation.”

    Fuse: “Share photos and messages with your private group of friends for a fleeting moment.”

    Tipcast: “A new and fast way to show and tell the things you find and collect on your iPhone.”
