    Marketers are shifting their budgets away from "interruption advertising."

    Twitter Rolls Out Email Notifications: In addition to getting email notifications for direct messages on Twitter, you now have the option of getting email notifications when someone you follow retweets or favorites one of your Tweets.

    You can opt into these email notifications by going to the settings tab on your Twitter account.

    Google's Social Search Goes Global: “Social Search is rolling out globally in 19 languages and should be available in the coming week, with more languages on the way. People around the world will find similar types of social results as people in the U.S.”

    Roost: A new social marketing platform for small businesses.  Roost aims to save time for individual professionals, businesses, consultants and agencies in creating effective social media campaigns.

    Kyoo: A new social media aggregator that pulls together the buzz around an event or topic and displays it in one place. These mentions from various sources (Tweets, Facebook posts, Flickr photos, YouTube videos, blog posts and news articles) can then be dynamically displayed.
